Welcome from the Foundation’s new chairman

Sharon Jackson, Chairman

Thank you for visiting our website. This past fall, after many years of dedicated service, our founding and devoted chairman, Maggi McQueen, and our program director, Linda Ruescher, retired. We will miss them. I was honored that Maggi asked me to take over as chairman of this organization that means so much to people with lupus, their family and friends, and the health professionals who care for them.

Since 1979, the Lupus Foundation of Florida, Inc. has been providing support and education to Floridians affected by lupus. We are proud to be a part of the Lupus Research Alliance, whose funding of research brings  us closer to the day when we can say there is “Life without lupus.” We hope that you will find the content of our website helpful and useful. We encourage you to get involved with a support group, attend an educational seminar and participate in our Walks for Life without Lupus. We also have volunteer opportunities in communities all over the state. Please submit your email address so you can receive the latest news and coping tips delivered directly to your inbox.

2018 is going to be a very exciting year! We look forward to your support and friendship!

Sincerely,

Sharon Jackson, Board Chair
